Chitwan National Park

Established in 1973, Chitwan National Park (a UNESCO world heritage site) which is located in the lowland of South – Central Nepal is by far the most popular wild life sanctuary in Nepal and it also bears significant historical importance. The park preserves a unique ecosystem significantly valuable to the whole world. This 932 sq km area of low, heavily forested hills is a haven for some of Nepal’s most famous wildlife. Beside this, the wet lands of Koshi Tappu (famous for bird watching) and the Bardia National Park provide the Countries finest Jungle Safari operations.

Chitwan Jungle Activities
Day 01: Elephant Safari
Seated high on the back of a trained elephant exploring the grasslands and forest, you become a part of the life of the jungle.

Day 02: Bird Watching
An early morning walk through the bush and along the Rapti River is a must to view many of the more than 450 species of exotic birds, including the Giant Hornbill, Lesser Florican and Paradise Flycatcher. You will be accompanied by our experienced naturalists.

Day 03: Canoeing
A traditional dugout canoe takes you on a silent trip down the Rapti river to view birds, crocodiles and the animals on the river bank (from October through to mid-March)

Day 04: Jungle Walk
Our trained naturalists take you to prime spots to view deer, rhinos, sloth bears and other wildlife. Detailed knowledge of the wildlife and jungle will enhance your trip.

Day 05: Elephant Briefing
Of all the animals, elephants are probably the most graceful. Our naturalists will show you how the elephants’ meals are prepared and how they eat. They will explain the nature and habits of elephants. If particularly interested in driving the animal, an opportunity will be provided.

Day 06: Jungle Drive
Drive deep into the heart of the park for a good chance to spot the rare species.

Day 07: Slideshow
Our slide show is packed with information about Chitwan National Park and its wildlife. Our naturalists are here to share their knowledge of the jungle with you. ‎
